Privacy & cookies
This page explains what personal data MCJ.LAND LIMITED collects through this website and what we do with it. We’re the data controller. You can reach us at moises@mcj.land.
What we collect
- Anything you send us by email, such as your name, email address and the details of your enquiry.
- Technical data your browser sends to our hosting provider (IP address, browser type, pages requested), which is kept in server logs.
- If you accept analytics cookies, data about how you use the site. See below.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to deliver and invoice our services. We use analytics data to see which pages people read and where the site could be better. Our lawful bases are steps taken at your request before a contract, performing that contract, our legitimate interest in running the business, and your consent for analytics.
Cookies
The site works without cookies. If you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. Both are run by Google Ireland Ltd. Tag Manager itself doesn’t set cookies.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) records pages viewed, scrolling, clicks on links, rough location, device and browser. Cookies:
_gaand_ga_*, kept for up to 2 years.
Google may process data outside the UK under its own safeguards. If you click “Reject”, neither loads. To change your mind later, clear this site’s cookies and stored data in your browser and the banner will appear again, or email moises@mcj.land.
We also load fonts from Google Fonts. That doesn’t set cookies, but Google does receive your IP address.
How long we keep it
We delete enquiries that don’t lead to work within 12 months. Client and accounting records are kept for as long as UK law requires, normally six years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or get a copy of it. Just email moises@mcj.land. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
